Vinification The grapes are separated from the stems and lightly pressed. The wine undergoes both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Aged for 12 months in medium-toasted American (Ohio) and French oak barrels, with decanting every 4 months. The wine is then aged for a further 6 months in the bottle. Tasting notes Bright cherry red in color with ruby red edges. The aroma is dominated by red berries, with smoky and licorice notes in the background. The taste is clean, fresh, and well-structured. The tannins are soft, the acidity balanced – the finish is long and spicy, but retains its berry character.
